Reports From The Frontline is a massive archival compilation that collects the most important zines to come out of Syracuse, NY, between 1991 and 1998. During this period, Syracuse stood as a true epicenter of the straight edge vegan hardcore movement, and these zines were the reports.
Alongside the original zines, the book opens with a foreword by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, who situates Syracuse’s impact on him as a young man from Chicago. The collection features brand-new contributions, including interviews and reflections from key figures such as Dave Natoli, DJ Rose, John McConnell, Shane Durgee, and Ryan Martin.
The scope is staggering: 26 complete issues from 15 different zines, bound together in a single volume that spans over 800 pages.
Presented in a large 8.5×11 format, the book includes both black-and-white reproductions and full-color inserts.
This is not just a reproduction—it’s a carefully curated time capsule.
